Welcome to the 2nd edition of the PAlaiseau-Florence (PAF) workshop on ultracold atoms!

This scientific workshop aims to discuss the most recent advancements in the context of ultracold atom physics and related fields. Experimental and theoretical groups from Palaiseau (France) and Florence (Italy) research areas will present their activities and discuss collaborations in topics ranging from metrology and entanglement to quantum transport and quantum simulation.

After the 1st edition held in Florence in 2022, the workhop now moves to Palaiseau for the 2026 edition. It will take place at the Insititut d'Optique Graduate School (IOGS). The scientific program will start in the morning of May 5th 2026 and end on the evening of May 7th. We will find a preliminary program in the Planning page.

                                                                                     Organizers:

                                                    G. Bagioni (IOGS), D. Clément (IOGS), G. Ferioli (LENS)

                                                                                        --------------

The scientific contributions consist of talks (25' presentation + 5' questions) and a poster session. We strongly encourage the research groups to propose young members for a talk (experienced PhDs and post-docs) when possible.

Lab tours of the experiments of the Quantum Gas Group and the Quantum Optics Atoms at Institut d'Optique will be organised.

                                                                                        --------------

To participate to the workshop, you need to register at the Registration page (no conference fee).
